La Luna Art Class

This was one of my favorite paintings at Painting with a Twist in Slidell. It is called “La Luna” and it is a lot of fun to paint. It is a 2 hour painting and I love the contrast of lights to darks. It is very Van Gogh. It reminds me of the “Starry Night.” They haven’t put this on their calendar in a while but I am sure if you request this painting they would love to do it again.  This would also be a great painting for a private party. If you haven’t heard about Painting with a Twist in Slidell then you are missing out. There are a lot of studios like this but Painting with a Twist is a one of a kind. What makes them so unique is how they run the class. They encourage you to bring in a bottle of wine or your favorite drink and any snack food that you would like. The trained instructor, who walks you through the entire class, not only makes it simple to follow along but they make sure everyone stops to socialize and have a good time. It is such a great experience because you are painting and partying and when everyone is finished, all of the paintings look amazing. Personally you will feel a real sense of accomplishment when the class ends. You will also have a masterpiece to bring home to your friends and family. It makes a great gift as well.

The other part about Painting with a Twist in Slidell is that their website is great. It is so easy to make a reservation or purchase a gift certificate. You can also “Subscribe to their Calendar” with your email address and you will receive updates of their latest paintings when they are added to the calendar. If you are one of the millions who use Facebook you should check out their “Facebook Us” page. You can actually read their Facebook wall from their site and if you are logged in with your Facebook account it will show your avatar and your Facebook friends as well on their site. If you make a comment at the bottom of the page it will post it on their site and your Facebook account. I am sorry if I am getting a little carried away here. I guess this computer stuff is more for the computer geeks like me.
